Jeju travel Mr.Dee/ Viewing the outskirt of U-do island

U-do island is located on the tip of estern Jeju island which is facing Seongsan Sunrise peak.

 And it is the largest parasite island in Jeju-do.

 

U-do is also a volcanic island like Jeju island so that it is so valualble in geology.

However, besides of geological value, this island is also proud of its beautiful scenary.

 

Most of the people who want to travel in U-do, they don't condsider seeing the outskirts of the island. But if you want to have a real travel of U-do, I recommend to have a boat trip to see the outskirt of U-do before get into the island.

 

 

The sides of this island is 6.18and the populations is 1,622. The name of U-do means 'cow island'. People call this island 'cow island' becasue the shape of island resembles a cow lying down on the grass.  well, it depends on your imagination.

 

 

Once you see the outskirt of the island, You can guess that this island is a volcanic island and it has lots of errosions.

Especially, there are many errosion caves on the cliffs.

You can enter some of caves after you get into the land and some of them you can enter only by boat.

 

The cave on the cliff on the picture is called 'a nostril of Cow'. Because when the wave comes and out, The water spray comes out like a flaring water from its nose.

 

 

You can see the opposite side of Seongsan Sunrise peak on the ocean .

Actually 'Seongsan' means 'Castle mountain'.

People call it because it looks like a castle on the ocean. Seeing Seong-san sunrise peak on the ocean will be another great joy for your Jeju travel.

 

 

On the other side of this island slopes in gentle so that it has beautiful beaches and lava rock fields.
